Week 2!

As usual I reached class at 2 sharp. Some students were already there but the lecturer was not. Today the lecturer came a little bit late, almost 15 minutes. Lol. But its all right, the class started anyway.

As I mentioned in my last post, this week we would discuss more about the creative vs creativity. And yes, we did!

From Google.com, we can search and find that creative is having the ability or power to create; "a creative imagination" while in Wikipedia.com says creativity is a mental process involving the discovery of new ideas or concepts, or new associations of the existing ideas or concepts, fueled by the process of either conscious or unconscious insight. So basically, in other words, we can say that creative is the the noun and creativity is the process of being creative.

Looking at those definition would answer our question last week. Why are we all creative? it is because we innovate many new things for our own sake almost everyday. Did anyone told you what to wear? what combination should you mix on your experimental cooking? no one, right? so that shows we are all creative.

There are 4 ways to be acknowledged as creative:
  • Person : The particular person has the specialty given by God to be creative. (is it true sir? :p)
  • Environment : Become creative because he/she do something different compared to the people around his/her environment.
  • Product : Becoming creative by producing unique products.
  • Process : (this one i did not really get the idea but the lecturer said we are going to this later by the trimester flow"
We also talked about brain. There are 2 sides of brain left and right. Some of people think using their right brain more while some others use more left brain. What is the difference?

Left brained
people is the one who is intelligent, they can process information quickly, and if they're diligent and hardworking, they might be great someday. Mostly, they focus in these things; Logical Sequential, Rational, Analytical, Objective, Looks at parts. Some of the examples of left brained people are, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Jose Mourinho, and all other great people. But it would be dangerous if those intelligence used without the heart, it will be mean like Adolf Hitler and Mussolini, they are intelligent people who were not using their heart.

In the other hand, right brained people is more to creative people. In this group, the person think more to; Random, Intuitive, Holistic Synthesizing, Subjective, Looks at wholes. the examples are Leonardo Da Vinci, Mozart, James Cameron, etc whose good in more to art and creating new awesome things.

I think that is all for this week.

See you next week..!!

Week 1!

Well, the first class is quite good.. the lecturer MR. Ahmad Razi is very kind and funny. He taught well too. It was not boring at all.

So today's lecture was about "Introduction to Creativity"

But he started the session with a question "did anyone of you guys think what to wear before going to classes today?" then everyone silenced. Actually I did, but since no one raising their hands so I just let it go.

"Thinking is Tiring"
Yeah, the teacher said that thinking is tiring. Is it? yes because "Routine is NOT thinking". We just recall our activities that has been our habit, like when we go to campus, we just go out and take one shoes out of many shoes without even think will it look good on us. Yeah, we did not think, just recalled our memory based on what we usually do.

Then we talked about "Creative People". Most of the students come up with all those names like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, DR. Tun Mahatir Muhammad, Einstein, Thomas A.E, etc. Why are they creative? obviously, because they did things that not many people did, that made them known as creative people. But actually, we are all creative people. Why are we? first we need to know what is creative.

"What is Creative?"
We will talk about it in the next lecture session. And we will discuss the very interesting topic which is "Creative vs Creativity"

Bye for now!!
